Emergent Metals Corp. is required to report annually under the Extractive Sector Transparency Measures Act (“ESTMA”) enacted by the Government of Canada, beginning with the year ended December 31, 2016. ESTMA helps the Government of Canada deter corruption in the extractive sector. Under the ESTMA, extractive entities that are active in Canada must publicly disclose, on an annual basis, certain types of payments made to governments in Canada and abroad. These include payments to a Payee of at least C$100,000.
